Read and Play!

Participate in a variety of fun reading and learning activities. Be creative, discover your next passion, and then enter to win awesome prizes! Georgina Public Library’s Summer Reading and Learning Club runs until Wednesday, August 19, 2026 for anybody in Grade 6 or below.

Step 1: You will need a SRLC weekly draw ballot.

Pick up a ballot from any library branch starting Saturday, June 13.
Print off a ballot from home.

Step 2: The reading or library activity

Write or draw about a reading or library experience you did that week.

Step 3: Enter to win prizes by submitting your ballots each week.

Drop off the ballots to any library branch.
Email a picture of your ballots to us.

Read and Library Experience Activities:

Read a book
Borrow a ukulele
Use a nature backpack or theme kit
Borrow a Lendery pass
Attend a Library program

Enter your ballots in weekly prize draws for fantastic prizes. The draw resets each week, so enter each week for more chances to win. You can also increase your chances of winning by reporting on multiple books and library activities in a week.

The weekly draws run from Friday, July 3 to Friday, August 21. Ballots are due on the Wednesday before the draw date. Three prize winners will be selected each week from each library branch.

All ballots submitted throughout the summer by Wednesday, August 19 will be entered into our grand prize draw on Friday, August 21. Additionally, participants with the highest number of ballot submissions will be rewarded with a special surprise.

Three grand prize winners will be randomly chosen from each category:

Age 0 up to Grade 2
Grade 3 to Grade 6

Prize winners can select a $50.00 gift certificate from a local business of their choice. In previous years, winners selected prizes for the following businesses:

Indigo
Giant Tiger
Connor’s Music
Imagine Cinemas
Queensway Marketplace
Scoopy Doo’s

The winners for the final weekly prize draws and the grand prize draws will be contacted on Friday, August 21.

Georgina Public Library Summer Reading and Learning Club contest rules

The Summer Reading and Learning Club is open to all Georgina Public Library cardholders, Grade 6 and under.
The winners of the prize draw will be required to provide Georgina Public Library with their name, phone number, and complete address to confirm that they are a GPL cardholder.
The prize will be forfeited and GPL will draw another winner if the selected entrant:
- Declines the prize.
- Fails to pick up the prize within 30 days.
Each ballot will be one entry for the prize draws.
Children are eligible to win both a weekly prize draw and the grand prize draw.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded.
Entering the challenge signifies your acceptance of these rules.
GPL’s Summer Reading and Learning Club runs Saturday, June 13 to Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Weekly prize draws run from Friday, July 3 to Friday, August 21. Grand prize draw takes place on August 21.
