Check out a 2023 Ontario Park with the Ontario Day-Use Park Permit!

How does it work?

  • Each Day-Use Parks Permit is eligible for unlimited day-use access for one vehicle and its occupants to all provincial parks in Ontario where fees are normally charged. Park capacity limitations will apply.
  • 7-day loan period for a Day-Use Parks Permit with no renewals
  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must have a current Georgina Public Library ("Library") card and be in good standing with the Library.
  • Yes, the Day-Use Parks Permits are holdable! Place a hold.
  • Only one Day-Use Parks Permit can be checked out to a household at a time.
  • There are no renewals of the Day-Use Parks Permit.
  • Day-Use Parks Permits must be returned in-person to a library staff member, not through a drop box.
  • If the Day-Use Parks Permit is returned more than five days late, the replacement cost, per Permit, is $225.00. This is the rate set by Ontario Parks for a Commercial Day-Use Vehicle Permit.
  • Failure to return the Day-Use Parks Permit on time will disallow you from borrowing a Parks Permit in the future.
  • You cannot lend, rent, or sell the Day-Use Parks Permit to anyone.

Day-use vehicle Permits provide unlimited day-use access for one vehicle and its occupants to all provincial parks in Ontario where fees are normally charged.  Park capacity limitations will apply.  The Permits must be displayed on the rear-view mirror or dashboard of the vehicle while it is in a park.

Find a list of provincial parks in Ontario. Please visit: Visit Ontario Parks--Day-Use for more information.

A digital version of the French and English guides can be also be downloaded here.

Additionally, information about Ontario Parks and COVID-19 can be found here: https://www.ontarioparks.com/covid19.

Popular Ontario Parks:

Some popular Provincial Parks require advance booking for day-use; this includes Sibbald Point Provincial Park.  You can book day-use access for your visit up to five days in advance using one of the following methods:

  1. Online at reservations.ontarioparks.com. You must create a free account with Ontario Parks to book online.
  2. By phone at 1-888-ONT-PARK (1-888-668-7275) – Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

On the day of your park visit, you must bring:

  1.  The Day-Use Parks Permit that you have borrowed from the library.
  2.  A printed or electronic copy of the confirmation email that indicates that you have secured a space at the park for that day.
  3. Day-Use Parks Permits must be displayed on the rear-view mirror or dashboard of the vehicle while the vehicle is in a park.
