Georgina Public Library is committed to providing all members of the public and our employees an environment of inclusive design and integration through ongoing policy development in our services, products, and facilities.
We strive to exceed the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities standards established by the Ontario government. Accessibility standards are the rules that government, businesses, and organizations in Ontario have to follow to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility.
The Accessible Customer Service Standard is the first of the accessibility standards to become law in Ontario. These standards have been approved and are now incorporated into Georgina's Corporate Accessibility Policy to ensure that our goods and services are accessible to everyone.
