Play Orchestral Music with Khouri Music Is your child curious about orchestral instruments, but you’re not sure how to develop that interest? Join us for this PA day program where members of Khouri Music will help children test out various orchestral instruments to explore curiosity, interest, and a love for music. This year, in Keswick, Khouri music will start a new program consist on educating children by providing classroom instruction on orchestral string instruments. The program will let children play together as a section in an orchestra where we will have 3 different instruments violin, viola and cello. They will learn to play different pieces, read notes and coordinate together. In addition, each child will have a one-on-one private lesson with an instructor to improve their skills. Presenter bio: Amir is a Canadian Syrian multi-talented musician. He is an accomplished violinist, viola player, composer, conductor, and teacher. His musical journey began when he completed his educational studies and joined the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus, where he studied violin and the history of music, harmonies, and piano. He also graduated in viola. Amir's musical prowess has taken him to many countries, and he has participated in several concerts and festivals in Canada, Syria, the Emirates, Tunisia, and Lebanon. Amir is also an accomplished soloist and chamber musician. He currently plays with the Rose Orchestra Brampton as a first violin and is a violin player at the Canadian Arab Orchestra, where he participates in all their performances and festivals across Canada. Amir is also passionate about music education and teaches and conducts classes at Music At The Towers in Brampton. He is a violin teacher at Aurora Music Academy and the Canadian Arabic Conservatory of Music, where he shares his knowledge and experience with students of all levels. He is the founder of Khouri Music, music organization for teaching private lessons and helping organize music for several events. |
