Renewing borrowed items at Georgina Public Library is easy. If you are late returning items or items are lost or damaged, you will be charged a fine.

Some items may not be renewable for the following reasons:
We are running a Fine-Free pilot project until December 2021. What does this mean for you? No fines for overdue library materials! You will still have to pay for lost or damaged library materials, as outlined in the chart below. Items are considered lost if they are more than one month overdue, so remember to return or renew your materials on time.

Borrowers with lost or long overdue materials will be billed for the replacement cost of the item, plus the fine, plus a non-refundable $5.00 per item administration fee.
Once paid, if you find the lost or long overdue material within six months of the due date, and return it in usable condition, you will be charged the maximum fine owing plus the administration fee.
Adult cards are blocked when the fees owing reach $15.00 and juvenile cards are blocked when the fees owing reach $10.00.
Why add your email address to your account? We'll tell you when items are here for pick up, about to be due, and when they are overdue.
Call us or visit us in person to add your email address to your account. By adding your email, you will receive pre-due notices about your items about to be due, overdue notices, and notices that items you have placed on hold are available for you. Just remember to put our email address, sirsi@bravo.canlib.ca on your safe sender list.
