What's On programs for April and What's On programs for May & June

Our spring session of children's programs is now over and summer programs begin July 12.
Summer Reading Club starts June 21.

All our programs are super popular, so please arrive 15 minutes before programs start to avoid disappointment!

Most of our weekly programs are drop-in and FREE!

We welcome children of all ages to participate in library programs. In accordance with the Ontario Child and Family Services Act, children under the age of 10 must be accompanied and adequately supervised by a parent or responsible caregiver.

Help develop your child's early literacy skills in a fun way through the use of stories, songs, fingerplays, and activities. All this while enjoying social time with other parents in the community.

LEGO build

Builder’s Club is one of our most popular programs at GPL! In order to keep a safe and fun environment we can only admit 20 participants into the program. Please come early to avoid disappointment!
Free, drop-in: For all ages
Keswick Library
Tuesdays
6:30-7:30pm

Bring your imagination and join us to create with LEGO, Bionicles, blocks and more.

Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by an adult during the program.

Join us for an hour of family fun every Wednesday night. Dig into the arts & crafts, activities, special events, and enjoy a bedtime story at the end of the evening. PJs welcome!

To participate, please pick up your number at the Children’s & Youth Services Desk when you first arrive.

A “Let’s Get Ready for Reading” program that focuses on talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing, through stories, songs, finger plays, rhymes and a variety of play-based learning activities.

A number is needed in order to participate, so please pick up your number at the Children’s & Youth Services Desk when you first arrive.
Join us as we introduce toys and activities that help children develop early literacy and numeracy skills. Lots of hands on fun, songs and stories.

A family storytime program for parents and caregivers that centres around music. Enjoy stories, rhymes and songs. Best of all, children will play along with shakers, drums, castanets, and more!

Families who attend Musical Tales can enjoy free play time and a chance to catch up with other families after the program at Stay and Play from 11-11:30am.

6:30-7:30pm

Come join other Legomaniacs for an hour-long build program with library LEGO bases, blocks, and tons of accessory pieces. Create your own masterpiece or one based on the weekly theme. Inspire others as we "tour" the evening's creations, and then share them with the public in our special display cases.

Parents and children are invited to enjoy a structured progrma with a variety of activities, such as rhymes, songs, puppets and instruments, to foster speech development, motor coordination,
self-confidence, and sensitivity to others. Children learn best through routine and repetition in a nurturing environment.

For the enjoyment and safety of the babies, attendance in this program will be limited to adults and infant participants only.
A special program designed for adults to engage with their babies. Learn stories, rhymes, finger plays, and songs that you sing and for years to come. Families who attend Babytime can enjoy free play time and a chance to catch up with other families after the program at Stay & Play from 11-11:30am.
